The Rolling Stones Launching their World Tour


Here’s The Stones in front of a familiar backdrop at the end of their show answering a few questions. Outside of Julliard Tuesday, a large group of international media and a small crowd of 300-500 people had gathered for a press conference on their next world tour, with an intimate sneak preview concert.
From where most of the crowd was standing on a lower level looking up at 45 degrees this looked like where they were going to perform, which wouldn’t have provided much more than perhaps an occasional glimpse of their heads.

But the backdrop suddenly fell and the blaring chords of “Start Me Up” tore through the crowds. Instead, they were one floor up, giving the whole crowd a perfect view with front row seats!

They followed with a new song, ”Oh No, Not You Again” and ended with “Brown Sugar”, possibly drawing a reference on their 1975 New York tour promotion where they rolled down 5th Ave on a flat-bed truck singing the same tune.
