Well, today I broke down and bought the new Apple laptop, a mere 13 days after it was released. So far, it’s an absolute pleasure to use. The new remote and Front Row is a blast to play with. I haven’t used iChat yet, but am looking forward to use that free video phone service, as well as Skype.
As a PC power-user, I haven’t had a chance to use Macs too much. It’s a little hard to change my habits at first, but I’m finding that there’s better alternatives.
The most pronounced difference I found was when I plugged in my printer and digital camera — they just worked. How ’bout that?! No searching for hours on end through geek infused driver sites for the one that might work. What a concept.
So far so good. I’ll keep you updated on the transition.
